I don’t really choose a book because of its genre. I choose it because I fancy reading it. I love everything, from thrillers to romance to epic sci-fi to literary fiction (whatever that’s supposed to be). I like commercial books and dusty old classics, fiction and non-fiction, business, history, biography – pretty much anything. Don’t run away with the idea I’m not picky, though. I can put a book down just as quickly as I pick it up, although I have been known to go back to something I rejected previously, simply because I’m in the mood for something different. There are books for days when I need distraction, and books for when I need inspiration, books for comfort and books for challenge. They all speak to me with wholly individual voices, and so this book blog reflects what it’s like to be a discerning, yet non-discerning reader. #amreading.
